The Legendary At Bat

It all started out on one sunny day when we were up at the corral giving cows vaccinations. Well, I had been up there working for about an hour or so when I got stung by two wasps right on the hand,so I got in the mule and drove home. I had told my mom and she said to put some ice on it and I got some medicine out of the drawer. The next thing I knew it was time for the baseball game and my hand was twice its original size,so “I guess you could say I was having a bad day”.

When we arrived at the baseball fields coach had told me that I was pitching that game ,so I took the mound and started pitching.I had pitched a great first inning struck two out and one was hit to shortstop. I looked up and it was already the fourth inning, and it was my turn to bat.

I stepped up to the plate it was 14 to 5 if I scored we would have been League champions. The pitcher winded up and threw the pitch right by me strike one the blew called out. Once again the pitcher winded up and threw the pitch ‘DING’ the bat said I looked up and that ball was going somewhere. My dad was on first and he said, “bye bye baseball. The crowd went wild and I was smiling from ear to ear.

The game was over and I walked over to car and my family congratulated me on my homerun. We went to my favorite restaurant Pizza Hut and we ate till all our tummies were full. After that we went home, but I learned something that day there’s always good in the bad you just have to look past the bad the bad things to see the good things.
